Having 2,000 films to choose from isn’t much help when your flight might only last a few hours. That’s why Virgin Atlantic’s inflight entertainment, VERA, focuses on quality over quantity— offering passengers the very best in film, TV, and music.

The brand needed a way to showcase their passion for film and the care they’ve put into curating their entertainment.

And that’s where our story began.

Yours For The Taking

Virgin’s world class collection of entertainment became the star of their very own collection of short films. The enigmatic “VERA” personified by a mysterious piece of luggage that everyone wants to get their hands on.

To bring this concept to life, we created a series of short films shot on location across the US, each designed to pay homage to iconic moments in film history.

That’s a Wrap

The film series caused quite a stir on launch, surprising travellers with a completely different approach to the existing animated preroll.

The films were shortlisted for five awards and, even better, inspired passengers to live out their own Hollywood fantasies. One such example is Irene from Kidderminster, who wrote to Virgin to share that after watching the Vera films, she was motivated to fulfill her lifelong ambition of getting a motorbike license—with the ultimate goal of one day riding across the US. No prizes for guessing who she’ll be flying with.
